Since 1959, archaeologists have been at work at Colonial Michilimackinac, making it one of the longest ongoing archaeological digs of its kind in North America. While active archaeology is done for the season, you can still see the site, and then visit the Treasures from the Sand exhibit in the Northwest Rowhouse!
