Treat Location! Wassail (spiced cider)
Wassailing created the opportunity for everyone in the community to get together and to give thanks with drinks and song. In the 18th Century wassailing celebrations occurred on the Twelfth Night and could sometimes be heavy on the merry-making and singing. This song was common: Here we come a-wassailing Among the leaves so green; Here we come a-wand’ring So fair to be seen.
